"If any Bishop, or Priest, or Deacon, or anyone at all on the holy list, abstain from marriage, or meat, or wine, not as a matter of mortification (ascesis), but out of an abhorrence thereof, forgetting that all things are exceedingly good, and that God made man male and female, but blasphemously misrepresenting God’s work of creation, either let him correct and purge his ways or let him be excluded from the Church. The same applies to a layman." -Apostolic Canon 51
I dislike, however, the article's placing the blame on Darwin. Darwin isn't to blame; recovery of Aristotelianism and Platonism during the Renaissance and Enlightenment would be a better target.

Well you know some memories only go so far back.
